Business Broadband and Connectivity in Glasgow
Reliable connectivity that keeps your business moving.

Indigo Unified Communications supplies and manages business connectivity for organisations across Glasgow and Scotland. We provide full fibre broadband, leased lines, SD-WAN (secure, managed connections between sites), 4G/5G for site cabins and backup, and satellite for remote sites. Every service is monitored 24/7 by our Glasgow engineers, and we deal with the network providers for you when something goes wrong. Business broadband without a phone line (SoGEA) costs about £32 a month, full fibre from £32 to £50 a month depending on speed, and leased lines from £200 a month, depending on your area. Tell us your address and we'll confirm what's available and the price within 2 working days.
Why connectivity matters more than it used to
Every Teams call, cloud application, file sync and card payment now depends on your internet connection. When it drops, most of your business stops. We design connectivity around how and where you work: head office, a temporary site compound, a busy venue or a team working from home. Then we monitor it so problems are spotted before your people notice.
Which business internet connection is right for you?
| Connection | Best for | What you get | Typical price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business broadband without a phone line (SoGEA) | Small offices where full fibre isn't available yet | Fibre-to-the-cabinet broadband with no analogue phone line, ready for the PSTN switch-off | About £32 a month |
| Full fibre broadband (FTTP) | Small and medium offices, branches | High speeds at low cost. Full fibre is now available at 71% of Scottish premises (Ofcom, 2025) | £32 to £50 a month, depending on speed |
| Leased line (Ethernet) | Head offices, multi-site businesses, venues with heavy cloud or payment traffic | Dedicated, uncontended bandwidth, the same upload and download speeds, and a guaranteed fix time: 5 hours on fibre Ethernet, 7 hours on EFM and Ethernet over FTTC. Installation typically takes 30 to 90 working days | From £200 a month, depending on your area |
| 4G / 5G | Site cabins, temporary compounds, pop-up events, backup | Usually live within 2–3 working days, not the months a fixed line can take | Quoted per site |
| Satellite | Remote and rural sites with poor mobile coverage | Connectivity almost anywhere, as a main line or backup | Quoted per site |
| SD-WAN / SASE | Businesses with several offices, sites or venues | One secure network across every location, with traffic routed over the best available connection (Cato Networks) | Quoted per network |
| Resilient failover | Anyone who can't afford downtime | A second line or 4G/5G router takes over automatically if the main connection fails | Quoted with your main line |
Prices are monthly, excluding VAT, and depend on availability at your address.

Check what's available at your address
Is your broadband ready for the PSTN switch-off?
When the UK's old copper phone network closes on 31 January 2027, broadband that relies on a phone line (ADSL, and fibre broadband that still needs a landline) has to move to a digital service such as SoGEA or full fibre. We check this as part of every availability check. Take the 2-minute PSTN switch-off check →
Need a site online fast?
For site cabins, compounds, pop-up offices and events, we can usually get you online on 4G or 5G within 2–3 working days. When a fixed line arrives, the 4G/5G router stays on as automatic backup.

Business WiFi that's designed, not just installed

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between business broadband and a leased line?
Business broadband (including full fibre) is shared with other users in your area and is usually faster to download than upload. A leased line is a dedicated connection just for your business, with the same upload and download speeds and a service level agreement guaranteeing fix times. Leased lines cost more, from £200 a month compared with £32 to £50 for full fibre, but suit businesses that can't afford slowdowns or downtime.
How much does a leased line cost?
With Indigo, leased lines start from £200 a month. The price depends mainly on your area, especially how far your premises are from the nearest fibre point and whether new fibre needs to be laid. We confirm availability and the exact price for your address within 2 working days.
How long does a leased line take to install?
Typically 30 to 90 working days. It depends on whether fibre already reaches your building and whether any civil works are needed, such as digging or wayleaves (permission from landowners to run cables). If you need to be online sooner, a 4G or 5G connection can bridge the gap and then stay on as backup.
What is SoGEA?
SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) is fibre-to-the-cabinet broadband that doesn't need an analogue phone line. It's the standard replacement for older broadband as the phone network closes on 31 January 2027, and costs about £32 a month with Indigo.
How quickly can you get a construction site or temporary office online?
With 4G or 5G, we can usually get a site cabin or temporary office online within 2–3 working days. A fixed line can take weeks or months to install. Many sites start on 5G and move to a fixed line once it arrives, keeping the 5G router as automatic backup.
What happens if our internet goes down?
We monitor every connection we manage 24/7, so we usually know about a fault before you do. We report it to the network provider and chase it until it's fixed. If you have failover, a second line or 4G/5G router takes over automatically and your staff may not notice anything happened.
Do you cover areas outside Glasgow?
Yes. Indigo is based in Glasgow and Livingston and supplies connectivity to offices, sites and venues across Scotland, including rural and remote locations. Where fixed lines are limited, we use 4G, 5G or satellite options depending on coverage at the address.
Is SD-WAN worth it for a small business?
SD-WAN is most useful if you have several locations or rely heavily on cloud applications and calls. It links every site into one secure network, routes traffic over the best available connection and makes adding a new site quicker. For a single office, a good full fibre line with 4G backup is often enough.
