Indigo Unified Communications designs, installs and manages business WiFi for offices, venues and construction sites across Glasgow and Scotland. We survey each building, install Ubiquiti UniFi equipment, place access points where people actually work, and keep staff, guest, payment and CCTV networks separate and secure. We monitor the network after installation. Our WiFi work includes stadium WiFi at Falkirk Football Club, venue WiFi at SWG3 in Glasgow, and WiFi across Wonderworld Group's 10 family entertainment sites.

Why business WiFi goes wrong

Poor WiFi is one of the most common complaints we hear. It's rarely the internet connection's fault. Usually access points were put where the cabling was easiest, not where people work. Or one network is being shared by staff, guests, tills and cameras. Or nobody is monitoring it, so problems only surface when someone complains.

The result is dead spots, dropped Teams calls, card machines that time out and guests who give up. All of it is fixable with proper design.

How we deliver business WiFi

  1. Survey. We walk the building to measure coverage, interference and how many people and devices use each area.
  2. Design. We plan where each access point goes, how many you need and how the networks are split: staff, guests, tills and card payments, and CCTV or building systems.
  3. Install. Our engineers install and configure the access points, switches and firewall, and test coverage everywhere people work.
  4. Manage. We monitor the network, apply firmware and security updates, and fix problems, often before anyone notices.

Frequently asked questions

Why is our office WiFi slow when the internet is fast?

Usually it's the WiFi, not the internet line. Common causes are too few access points, poor placement, interference from neighbouring networks, or too many devices on one network. A WiFi survey measures coverage and congestion across the building and shows exactly where and why performance drops.

What is a WiFi survey?

A WiFi survey measures signal strength, interference and demand across your building before any equipment is installed or changed. It tells you how many access points you need and where to put them. Indigo provides a written design from every survey, so you know what you're buying and why.

Should guest WiFi be separate from our business network?

Yes. Guest WiFi should always be kept separate from your business network, so visitors can't reach your files, systems or devices. Card payment systems should also be on their own protected network, which is a basic requirement of the payment card security standard (PCI DSS).

Can you provide WiFi for a stadium or large venue?

Yes. High-density venues need more access points, careful channel planning so access points don't interfere with each other, and limits on how much bandwidth each guest can use. The internet connection behind them also has to be sized for peak crowds. Indigo delivered stadium WiFi for Falkirk Football Club and manages WiFi at SWG3 and across Wonderworld Group's 10 sites.

What WiFi equipment do you use?

Indigo installs Ubiquiti UniFi access points, switches and gateways. UniFi is business-grade, scales from a small office to a stadium, and is managed from one central controller. That lets us monitor, update and troubleshoot every site remotely, which keeps problems short and costs down.

Do you manage the WiFi after it's installed?

Yes. We monitor the network, apply firmware and security updates, and handle faults through our helpdesk. Every ticket gets a first response in under 30 minutes. Out-of-hours and event-day engineer cover can be arranged for venues.
