Careers at Indigo
Build a career in IT support and telecoms, with room to grow.

Indigo Unified Communications is a Glasgow IT and telecoms provider with 22 staff across offices in Glasgow and Livingston, including an experienced engineering team across first, second and third line. We support Modern Apprenticeships and promote from within: our Operations Director started on the helpdesk. If you want to work in IT support, connectivity or communications, email your CV to jobs@indigocomms.co.uk.
What's it like to work at Indigo?
We support businesses and charities across Scotland with managed IT, cyber security, connectivity, WiFi, phones and mobiles. The work is varied: one day it's a Microsoft 365 problem for an office in Glasgow, the next it's WiFi at a venue or connectivity for a site cabin.
You'll work with the tools our clients rely on, including Autotask, Datto RMM, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and Ubiquiti UniFi. In September 2026 our service desk handled 1,854 tickets, with a 13-minute average first response, and clients rate us 4.98/5 in post-ticket surveys.
How is the support team structured?
Our experienced engineering team works across three lines:
- First line: the first point of contact, responding to tickets and fixing everyday problems
- Second line: more complex issues, projects and escalations
- Third line: the most technical work, including infrastructure, networks and security
The team is led by our Helpdesk Manager, Josh Stuart, alongside our Service Delivery Manager and Technical Director.
How do you develop your people?
We support Modern Apprenticeships and train our own engineers, and many of our team have grown their careers here. Our Operations Director, Kenny Stevenson, joined Indigo as a helpdesk engineer, became Operations Manager and now leads the company's operations. The three-line structure gives engineers a clear route to take on more technical work as their skills grow.
We fund training and certifications, including Microsoft and CompTIA certifications, vendor training (such as 8x8, 3CX and Kaseya), apprenticeships and SVQs. Benefits include a workplace pension, company events and free parking at Glasgow Business Park.

Frequently asked questions
How do I apply for a job at Indigo?
Email your CV to jobs@indigocomms.co.uk with a short note on the kind of role you're looking for, whether that's first line support, a more technical engineering role, or something in sales or operations. We're always happy to hear from people who want to work in IT support or telecoms, even when no roles are advertised.
Does Indigo offer apprenticeships?
Yes. Indigo Unified Communications supports Modern Apprenticeships and trains its own engineers. An apprenticeship is a practical way into IT support: you learn on the job, working alongside experienced engineers on real client work, with a route to take on more technical work as your skills develop.
Can I progress from first line support at Indigo?
Yes. Our support team is structured across first, second and third line, which gives engineers a clear route to more technical work. We promote from within: our Operations Director, Kenny Stevenson, joined Indigo as a helpdesk engineer, became Operations Manager and now leads the company's operations.
Where would I be based?
Indigo has two offices: our head office at Glasgow Business Park, where most of the team is based, and a second office in Livingston. We support businesses and charities across Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Central Belt and the rest of Scotland, so some roles involve travelling to client sites.
