Why we work with plan.com

Indigo is a leading plan.com partner in Scotland, and plan.com has published our story as a partner success story. Customer retention on our plan.com services is 98% (plan.com, December 2025). The reason is simple: my.plan lets us manage every phone at user level, not just the account as a whole, so usage and spend are controlled before they become a problem.

"With plan.com, we're able to manage everything at an individual user level rather than at a top-level account view. my.plan allows us to manage what users are able to do or not do, which is a massive benefit for businesses." Nicola Armstrong, Sales Director, Indigo Unified Communications

How we save you around 20%

Most businesses overpay for mobiles in two ways: charges outside the bundle, and contracts that nobody reviews once they're signed. We fix both.

  1. Zero spend caps. Every line has its spend cap set at zero, so there are no out-of-bundle charges unless you approve them. No surprise bills for roaming, premium-rate calls or extra data.
  2. Desk-based account management. Our mobile team reviews your account throughout the contract, not just at renewal. We move users to the right bundle, remove lines nobody uses and flag unusual usage early.
  3. The right network and contract. We compare EE, O2 and Vodafone on coverage and price, and match the contract to how you work: SIM-only if you already own handsets, or up to 36 months if you need new devices.

Across a contract, that typically adds up to a saving of about 20% on what businesses pay today.

Client example

A Glasgow construction business, around 100 staff. Handsets were being dropped and broken on site, and replacing them was costing far more than it should. We identified a rugged handset that stands up to site work and reviewed the firm's mobile spend at the same time, removing unnecessary costs. The business saved more than £4,000 in the first calendar year. Rugged phones for construction →

Kilmac, a Dundee civil engineering contractor with more than 180 staff. Data overage charges kept appearing on the monthly bill with no warning. We moved its 155+ connections onto a plan.com shared data plan and send weekly usage updates, so costs are now predictable. Read the Kilmac case study →

More than handsets and tariffs

Business mobiles are how your people reach customers, colleagues and information, whether they're in the office, on site or on the road. A good mobile setup needs the right network for your locations, devices that suit the job, and proper security for the company data on every phone.

Because we're independent, we compare EE, O2 and Vodafone on coverage, performance and value for your business, not on a sales target. Coverage matters in Scotland: only 67% of Scotland's land area has 4G from all four mobile operators, and each network on its own covers between 79% and 81% (Ofcom Connected Nations Scotland, data July 2025). Frequently asked questions

Which mobile network is best for business in Scotland?

It depends on where your people work. EE, O2 and Vodafone each perform better in different parts of Scotland, especially outside the cities. Coverage varies widely: Scotland has the lowest 4G coverage by area of any UK nation (Ofcom, 2025). As an independent provider, Indigo checks coverage at your addresses and sites before recommending a network.

How much could we save on business mobiles?

Most businesses save about 20% on their current mobile costs over the life of a contract with Indigo. The saving comes from zero spend caps, which stop out-of-bundle charges, and from desk-based account management that keeps every user on the right bundle. Send us a recent bill and we'll show you your likely saving before you commit.

How long are business mobile contracts?

Indigo offers SIM-only contracts for businesses that already have handsets, and handset contracts of up to 36 months for new phones, tablets or rugged devices. You can mix both on one account.

When should we review our business mobile contract?

About three months before it ends. That leaves time to compare networks, check coverage and order handsets without rushing, and to give notice so you don't roll onto a more expensive out-of-contract rate. If you don't know your end date, send us a bill and we'll check it for you.

What is plan.com?

plan.com is a UK business mobile network that runs on the O2 and EE networks. Its my.plan app lets businesses manage every phone in one place, with real-time usage and costs, spending caps, content and app controls, device location and network-level protection against malware. Indigo is a leading plan.com partner in Scotland.

Are you tied to one network?

No. Indigo supplies business mobile contracts on EE, O2 and Vodafone. We recommend the network that gives your team the best coverage and value, and we can mix networks if different teams work in different areas.

What is mobile device management (MDM)?

Mobile device management lets a business control and secure its phones and tablets centrally. Using Microsoft Intune, we set up email and apps, apply security settings, keep devices updated and lock or wipe a phone remotely if it's lost or stolen. That protects company data and is expected under Cyber Essentials.

Do you supply rugged phones for construction sites?

Yes. We supply rugged smartphones and tablets that are built to survive dust, water and drops on site, from a large range of manufacturers. They're managed through Microsoft Intune like any other company device, so site teams get secure access to drawings, email and Teams.

Can I keep my numbers if I move my business mobiles to Indigo?

Yes. We port your existing numbers to the new network and schedule the switch so your staff aren't left without service. Your account manager handles the paperwork with your old provider. How switching to Indigo works →
